National Research and Education Networks (NRENs) worldwide are contributing in several ways to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); African NRENs are no exception. Though NRENs directly focus on the research and education (R&E) niche, the outcomes and impact of their work transcend the socio-economic, living standards, environment, health etc. It appears the multiplier effects of the work of NRENs on SDGs are far-reaching. Because of this, Regional Research and Education Networks (RRENs) in Africa, in the framework of the AfricaConnect3 project, will hold a webinar to discuss the UN SDGs and how NRENs have or can support the achievement of these ‘Global Goals’ by 2030. SCHEDULE Date: Wednesday, September 14, 2022 Time: 11am – 12pm UTC Venue: Zoom Registration – https://events.geant.org/event/1269/ AGENDA: Brief introduction to UN SDGs Examples of how African NRENs contribute to UN SDGs Introduction to AC3 UN SDG activity Next step: workshop in Gaborone, Botswana alongside U-Connect 2022 FacebookXLinkedInWhatsAppEmail
