[flickr-photo:id=17340815204, size=c] Boubakar Barry, CEO of WACREN, and David Lambert, President and CEO of Internet2, signed a MoU during the Internet2 Global Summit 2015 recently held in Washington DC. The main purpose of the MoU is to develop a framework for exploring opportunities to support the Parties’ mutual interests. Specifically, Internet2 and WACREN will actively develop opportunities to collaborate with each other in the following areas: – Global Network Architecture (GNA) infrastructure;– Service Offerings;– Human Capital Development;– Coordination on planning and governance;– Coordination on Communications. Representatives of the Internet2 Community were present at the signing ceremony, which was followed by a discussion on opportunities to start concrete actions in the framework of the MoU.
