In a couple of weeks from now, key stakeholders in Nigeria’s science scholarship space will convene in Abuja, to have a conversation on increasing awareness about open science infrastructure, practices, and cultural shifts that are essential to drive the necessary institutional changes, amplifying researchers’ contributions to both national advancement and the global knowledge economy. The primary objective of the 2nd LIBSENSE Open Science Symposium in Nigeria (September 13 & 14, 2023) is to enhance the avenues and framework for publishing and disseminating Nigerian research, with a particular focus on elevating its prominence and influence in alignment with the overarching objectives of collaborating entities like the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and the Directory of Open Access Books (DOAB).
