WACREN will participate in a High Level Ministerial Workshop focusing on distant and digital education in the West African sub-region. The Workshop organised by the Agence universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF) and the Digital for Development (D4D) African Union-European Union (AU-EU) Hub project will be lunched on May 10 and 11 in Ivorian capital Abidjan. In attendance will be Ministers of Higher Education from Togo, Benin, Niger and Côte d’Ivoire. The theme is “Strengthening regional cooperation in the field of distance education in West Africa”. The ceremony will take place at the Nelson Mandela room of Noom hotel, located at Boulevard de Gaulle – Abidjan. WACREN will be represented by the CEO Dr. Boubakar Barry and the Board Chair, Dr. Venant Palanga. WACREN will take advantage of the event to enhance advocacy for NRENs in the region.
