WACREN wishes to thank all of those who have contributed to a successful WACREN 2018 in Lomé on 15-16 March 2018, which featured the formal launch of the WACREN network. The conference was preceded by a 3-day training workshop on BGP and Peering with more than 30 participants, as well as AfricaConnect2 and NEAAR meetings. We recorded ca. 200 participants from 27 countries (many of the local participants did not register online) and we had 23 speakers, some of them remotely. All presentations are available online at https://indico.wacren.net/event/59/speakers. Photos and videos are also available online at http://flic.kr/s/aHsm8CEqiw (thank you to the GEANT communication team); more will be available soon. Thank you to all our sponsors, speakers, partners, the Programme Committee and of course to the participants. And a special thank you to our local hosts, the Ministry of Higher Education and Research of Togo and TogoRER. Our gratitude also to the government of Togo, especially the patron of the event, HE Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé. Don’t miss WACREN 2019. We will have another great host: GARNET. So, see you all in Accra, Ghana, on 14-15 March 2019! Boubakar Barry, CEO FacebookXLinkedInWhatsAppEmail
