This online workshop aims to equip participants with fundamental knowledge of identity management in a federated environment. It will present the key concepts and requirements necessary to help institutions implement identity management and its integration within a federation. The in-person, hands-on workshops will develop practical skills in implementing and managing federated identity solutions. Target audience DevOps engineers and application developers from NREN Systems engineers and network administrators of the National Research and Education Networks (NREN) Key expected results Better understanding of the concepts and requirements related to federated identity management. Institutions prepared for the next steps towards the establishment of a federation and the implementation of eduID/eduroam. Prerequisites for participants Participants must possess the following basic knowledge and resources: General knowledge in systems and network administration. Basic experience in user management, authentication services and access controls. Familiarity with Linux/server environments and concepts related to web services. A laptop and a stable internet connection are required to actively participate in online sessions and practical demonstrations.
