As part of the continental ‘Collaboration for Sustainable Open Access Scholarly Publishing in Africa‘ initiative (EIFL, AJOL, WACREN), this national workshop aims to advance the implementation of the Diamond Open Access model in Burkina Faso.

The workshop will bring together key stakeholders from Burkina Faso’s scholarly publishing ecosystem, including scientific journal editors, librarians, policymakers, representatives from universities and research institutions, FasoREN, and technical partners.

At the end of this one-day technical and policy workshop combining plenary sessions, live demonstrations, and collaborative planning, participants will define the framework for the National Policy, establish a working group to coordinate follow-up actions, and align Burkina Faso’s contribution with the Francophone publishing model in collaboration with the WACREN–CAMES partnership.
