The Board Chair of WACREN and ‘Father of the Internet in Africa’, Prof. Nii Narku Quaynor, has challenged the continent to fully embrace innovation in technology in order to play in the highly-competitive, fast-paced global environment. He spoke at the 2019 edition of the Nigerian Innovation Summit held recently. While urging Africans to innovate, he advised against the wholesale important of foreign solutions into the African context. He challenged Africans to identify their own peculiar challenges and fashion out befitting solutions to those challenges. He made a call on African’s in the diaspora to turn their eyes to their continent and make efforts to rewrite its history and fashion the future through innovation and technology.
