Today marks exactly one year since the passing of Dr Boubakar Barry, our founding CEO and a visionary leader whose work transformed research and educational networking in Africa. Dr Barry dedicated his life to building digital bridges across the continent, ensuring that universities, researchers, and students had the infrastructure and opportunities to connect, collaborate, and innovate. His vision laid the foundation for WACREN and continues to guide our mission today. Beyond his technical and strategic achievements, Dr Barry was a mentor, a builder, and a source of inspiration to countless professionals across Africa.
