Benin Republic kicks off NREN process with stakeholder workshop

It is in the inspiring site of the Songhai Project in Porto-Novo on the 17 and 18 July 2013 that the first workshop on the installation on the Benin National Research and Education Network (RerBenin) for the benefit of the public and private research and education community.

The workshop was organized by the Institut des Mathématiques et de Sciences Physiques (IMSP) with the support of the Association of African Universities (AAU) and gathered the national stakeholders including the ICT professionals, as well as the colleagues from WACREN, ngREN, TogoREN and NigerREN who came to share their experience.

The final report of the event, which is already available online at www.rerBenin.net, paves the way and defines the next steps towards the installation and official recognition of RerBenin.
