Thank you for a wonderful WACREN 2016 conference

WACREN2016 Group

Dear WACREN Community, WACREN Friends and WACREN Partners,

The curtain has fallen on WACREN 2016 and we can all look back to a very intense and productive week in Dakar.

From the feedback we have received from the participants, the conference was a great success. And so were the pre-conference events, namely the workshop on Federated Identity Management, the workshop on promoting Open Science that adopted the Dakar Declaration on Open Science in Africa, the TANDEM workshop and meetings, and the AfricaConnect2 meetings.

This would not have been a success without the massive participation of the WACREN Community and WACREN Friends and Partners. A special thank you to our local hosts, the Ministry of Higher Education of Senegal and snRER, our sponsors, and our paper presenters.

For those who couldn’t make it to Dakar, we have archived the presentations, the live stream and some photos so you can share our experience.

We look forward to welcoming you again to the region on 16-17 March 2017 for WACREN 2017.  In the meantime, we invite you to follow and participate in WACREN activities by visiting our website regularly, and by subscribing to our Community list.

Again, thank you to all of you.

Boubakar Barry, CEO
